How to be Enough…

I am a whole person

One who has hopes and

Dreams that would make you proud

But no matter what happened

It was always enough.

I am who you thought I could be

I jumped and ran as fast as possible

Lived the life you wanted for me

But no matter who I was

I was always enough.

I grew wanting to be just like you

Studying your heart and how your hand feels in mine.

Truly knowing that you did the best you could

On good days and bad

It was always enough.

I have climbed mountains

Crossed deserts

Floated rivers

I did everything I thought I could do.

But no matter how far I go

I am always enough.

Now I am here living my own life

Living dreams we have always talked about

Playing in places you’ll travel to see

Creating a place that is just mine

Loving others with my whole heart

The way you showed me.

But no matter what I do, who I am,

How I love or where I’ll go

I never have sit and wonder

If I’m ever going be enough.
